Dr. Sarah Foster

Originally from North Carolina, Dr. Foster is a third-generation veterinarian and grew up spending most of her free time at her family's clinic. When it came time to choose a career path, she knew her calling was veterinary medicin. Dr. Foster received both her undergraduate and veterinary degrees from Auburn University. While at Auburn, she met her husband, Ryan, and together they have four dogs, all rescues. 

After graduation, Dr. Foster practiced in the Birmingham are for four years before moving to Gardendale and accepting a position with All Creatures. Along with caring for rescue animals and general medicine, Dr. Foster also has special interest in internal medicine and canine rehabilitation/physical therapy. Recently, Dr. Foster became Fear Free qualified and is looking forward to making your pet's visit as fear free as possible! 

During her free time, Dr. Foster and her husband enjoy home renovation projects, traveling as much as possible, and Auburn football- War Eagle! 

Dr. Ted Hankes

Dr. Ted Hankes has been the owner of All Creatures Pet Hospital since 2005 when he purchased the clinic, formerly known as Allen Clinic, from Dr. William Allen. Dr. Hankes earned a B.S. in Animal and Dairy Science from Auburn University, and a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. A practicing veterinarian since 1996, Dr. Hankes’ special areas of interest include dermatology, internal medicine and surgery in addition to general medicine.

Dr. Hankes is retired from the Army Reserve and is a veteran of the War in Afghanistan, where he served as commander of Veterinary Forces. He has numerous Army Medals including the Bronze Star, which he was awarded for his time in Afghanistan. In 2006, Dr. Hankes was awarded the Young Achievers Award from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine for his contribution to the field of veterinary medicine. A former Eagle Scout, Dr. Hankes still enjoys scouting along with fishing, camping and hunting. He and his wife, Michelle, have 4 children and reside in Fultondale.

Ashley Johnson

Ashley is pursuing her veterinary technician degree and considers veterinary care her life’s work! She has 5 dogs and 2 horses at home and loves working at All Creatures because of the animals, her coworkers and Dr. Hankes.

Jackie Murray

You've likely talked to Jackie on the phone if you've called recently since her domain is the front office. Jackie's favorite part of working at All Creatures is all the cute pets! She has 2 of her own pups at home and is building on her degree in biology in hopes of working at a zoo one day. Thanks for everything, Jackie!

Elizabeth Walker

Elizabeth grew up on her family farm with family members in the veterinary field. As a youngster, she spent many summers assisting in the kennels and helping on the farm. She is a mother of 6... 3 cats, 2 dogs and 1 human named Ian. She enjoys cooking Hello Fresh packages with her husband and drawing.

Julia

Julia starting working at All Creatures in April 2021. She has 5 years of veterinary experience and is looking forward to applying for vet school soon! When she's not at work she enjoys spending time with her 5 dogs, 4 cats and her horse. 

Tabitha Turner

Tabitha loves caring for the animals at All Creatures and spending time with her six nieces and nephews. She is studying at Wallace State and has a chihuahua, Daisy.

Kacie

Kacie enjoys splitting her time between being one of our receptionists and working at her son's daycare! She has 3 dogs, 2 cats and 2 ducks and in her free time she likes to hang out with her son outdoors. 

Tina Nelson

Tina is working towards her degree as a veterinary technician while working at All Creatures. She has 3 dogs at home and loves riding four wheelers and fishing in her spare time!
